2018 Ford Ranger Custom Build
We picked up this 2018 Ford Ranger as a demo with only 250km on the clock, so pretty much as good as new. It didn’t take long for the build to begin, with modifications from some of the biggest names in the 4×4 industry transforming it into an off-road powerhouse.
We purchased our 2018 Ford Ranger with the intention of transforming it into an adventure-touring dual-cab ute, capable of travelling to Central Australia, the Simpson Desert, the Flinders Ranges, Vic High Country, Tasmania, and back again. With the help of Australia’s class-leading aftermarket 4×4 industry, we’ve achieved that goal.
We were lucky enough to score a 3.2-litre-powered demo with only 250km on the clock, with a manual transmission. We chose the Ranger as it’s a top-selling new 4×4 to private buyers, and there’s plenty of great accessories available for it.
It was primarily used as a support vehicle for our 4×4 Adventure Series trips, so it had to be expedition-ready. Our world-beating aftermarket 4×4 industry didn’t disappoint, and we ended up with an exceptional tourer loaded with quality accessories.
