The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is one of the few full-size American pick-up trucks available in Australia, with the vehicles imported and converted locally by General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV). Notably heavier, wider and more expensive than the common dual-cab, the Silverado is currently available in two model grades in local showrooms: the LTZ Premium and ZR2. Both of these variants are powered by a stonking 6.2-litre petrol engine producing 313kW and 624Nm, which is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4×4 system.
